Welcome to Hucknall Tourism & Regeneration Group
Our mission statement is:
- To help Hucknall regain its position as a strong, viable and prosperous town.
- To retain the historical legacy of the town and surrounding area.
- To attract visitors and boost the local economy by raising awareness of our heritage to both visitors and residents alike.
We are now also working from 2020 Vision Unit 2 Ogle Street, Hucknall where we assist with NHS Diabetic Eye Screening, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, each week. We work on a volunteer basis. Our Hucknall Memorabilia and greeting cards are available to purchase here.
We are now responsible for running the Hucknall Byron Festival which is normally held in the first weekend in July in Newstead Abbey. This year, we celebrated the 200th anniversary of Byron's death in April instead.
Our usual quota of FREE Guided Bus Tours will commence in early June but we regret to inform you all that all places are now taken.
The Group is always looking for additional volunteers to spend a couple hours each week talking to our visitors. This is an ideal opportunity to be of service to your town by helping those who come to visit Hucknall and the surrounding area. If you would like to offer a few hours of your time to support this venture, please contact us on 0115 963 8566 or visit us at the library.
